Report #2: June 2008

It’s a long time since the last post, so we are under obligation to our readers (1 or 2 real readers actually) to tell what’s going on and what we have been doing all this month.

In order to be neat and tidy let’s go step by step according to the Plan #2:

1. Tweak our selected logo - not done

2. Write a new “about” page - not done

3. Implement motivational system - implemented, but it worked only for 2 weeks and failed, because.. well the fines were too small, and actually it was stupid to force ourselves to write about making money, when we make none yet. Oh wait.. Thats not truth! I’ll tell you later why..

4. Traffic size 1500 - done (it was 9.293 uniques this month as seen in the picture). The interesting thing about this huge amount of visitors (of course huge to us) is that 76% of it was made by google office photos post and that shows that writing about popular things makes your site popular.

So it seems that we are super lazy guys just dreaming of making millions dollars and actually doing nothing in order to make it. And that’s just not truth! Instead of spending time on themilliondollarplan.net blog writing about things we do not know yet, we were spending our time working on our new project - http://villageofjoy.com . Check it out and let us know what do you think about it.

It has only 17 posts and had 835 unique visitors after one month since it was born, about 700 came on the last week of June. Well not that bad for the first month I think, and it’s much more fun to write about all kind of amazing things than about making money that we don’t make. Oh no no wait! I almost forgot to tell the most important thing! It made 0.43$ ! That’s so awesome! We are actually making money online!

The bottom line is.. don’t try to deceive yourself and your readers pretending that you know how to make money, because if you don’t - it won’t take long for others to find out and for yourself to lose motivation, instead do projects that make money, and then write about it and make even more money. (Well it’s sometimes the other way.. write a book how to make 1 million dollar, find some 50 000 stupid people and you are a millionaire).
